For years, Nicholas faces storms, pirates, and the lure of loose living. He longs to be worthy of his family’s trust. Then, desperately ill, Nicholas realizes he is not smart enough to escape, not good enough for heaven—he deserves to die. In anguish he cries, “Father God! Give me one more chance!”
Very interesting story!

An intriuging story! I like learning about people who lived long before my time. Love the illustration on the cover as well.
This is a captivating story!! I couldn’t read it fast enough. There’s such a great mixture of adventure and good values. I also love that you learn so much about history in a fiction book… Katrina does a great job at integrating facts into a well-written story.

Be aware. My husband read This book from cover the cover. Why? Because there wasn’t any good place to stop. ????

I enjoyed the history integrated throughout the book. There is also good adventure that is keeping my husband’s school students captivated while he is reading it. A very worthwhile book to read!
